• Air-blow, where the label is pre-dispensed onto a fixed vacuum plate and is timed to be blown onto the product by a controlled pulse of compressed air.
  
  
• Tamp (EP), where the label is pre-dispensed onto a vacuum plate on the end of a moving cylinder. The pad is timed to extend to either make contact, if the product is stationary or blow on, if moving.
  
  
• Wipe-down, where the speed of dispensing is synchronised with the speed of the product. Variable speed applications can be accommodated on most ALS machines, using the Automatic Product Speed Following (APSF) feature. Sprung-loaded and pneumatic dispense edge options allow for irregular shaped products.
  
  
• Vacuum-Wipe-down, uses a combination of two methods. The label is first dispensed onto a vacuum plate with a dressing roller on the end, which then pivots, wiping down the edges of the label, as the pack travels past.
