Description
EtiCAD-5 is a powerful, easy-to-use software program which allows you to create, print and manage variable data output to printers, print & apply labelling systems or RFID encoders, either in a standalone environment or across a network. EtiCAD-5 provides easy connectivity with ERP or MRP systems to help integrate the labelling function with the rest of the business process. A range of extra modules extend EtiCAD-5 to make it the most flexible labelling package available and the only one you’ll ever need.
Add-on Modules Include:
ALS DataWatch - Enables EtiCAD-5 to gather variable data from a variety of host systems such as ERP, MRP, WMS solutions as well as in-house designed and legacy systems.
ALS Alert - Provides the functionality to monitor and control all desktop label printers and on-line Print & Apply labelling systems within the plant on a network from a central location. ALS Alert interfaces seamlessly with EtiCAD-5 to provide all label/message design, printer set-up, printing and monitoring functionality from one.
Network View
Presents your production line graphically on screen. It also provides network status monitoring and the facility to download messages to printers. Printer device icons can be dragged and dropped onto the graphical view to clearly represent and reflect the true layout of the factory or network. Items on the network are coloured (red, amber, or green) according to status severity and time. Typical alerts include: ‘ribbon low’ - amber and ‘ribbon out’ - red.
Factory Logging
Provides machine history and production log statistics. A machine history log is kept for each printer on the network and records all changes in status. A range of data is recorded dependent upon printer type. The purpose of the production log is to record what has been produced over a given period for each machine on the network. Recorded data, dependent upon printer, can include: date and time of the log entry, number of products produced in the last hour, number of products produced since the run started, expected products/hour and efficiency.
There are 3 versions of EtiCAD-5 to choose from, depending on your labelling requirements:
EtiCAD-5 Standard Edition - An easy to use application that runs on Microsoft platforms. EtiCAD-5 Standard Edition allows a single user to design and create labels using a basic set of variable data. Dedicated, high--speed drivers within the software ensure high speed data transfer to a wide range of coding devices including thermal transfer printers, print & apply labelling systems and RFID encoders. EtiCAD-5 Standard Edition is ideal for single workstation/single printer operations in small to medium sized enterprises.
EtiCAD-5 Professional Edition - Delivers all the features of the Standard Edition product but, with a list of additional features which make it ideal for larger enterprises and multi-user environments. EtiCAD-5 Professional Edition provides higher levels of security, connectivity and reporting. It can drive up to 7 printers concurrently and can be upgraded to an unlimited number which means that EtiCAD-5 Professional can grow as your business grows.
EtiCAD-5 Print Only Edition - A simplified version of the product that has all of the design features removed.
