MODULAR CONTAINER LABELLER

Automatic labeller for labelling of filled or empty containers in sizes of 2.5 to 25 litres.

Operation

The labelling head dispenses a label onto the vacuum applicator. The belts on the applicator transport the label to centre position.

When the container is fed into the machine, the orientation unit lifts and rotates the container and the handle will be detected and lifted. During the transport to the applicators, the handle is raised to a vertical position and the container will be aligned by the guide rails.

Positioned in front of the applicator, the container will stop and the label be applied.

Control System

Electronic control: PLC with program selection, ensures quick setting and short change-over time.

From the selected program, the machine automatically makes the necessary settings of label position, handle lift and product detection.

On pre-decorated containers, the MCL can detect front and back in the orientation unit.

Location of Labels

The label can be located wherever required within the area shown on the diagram:

(A) Distance from the container base to the lower edge of the label:

Minimum 10 mm
Maximum 115 mm

(B) Minimum distance from lower edge of lid to upper edge of label: 15 mm

(C) Minimum distance from handle lug to nearest edge of label: 50 mm
